Year 9

EMS - English, Maths & Science

Our Year 9 tutoring classes support students through this pivotal stage of high school, focusing on strengthening English, Mathematics, and Science skills while introducing more advanced concepts. The program reinforces schoolwork, develops higher-order thinking, and prepares students for the increasing academic demands of senior study.

 

From Term 4, our Year 9 students will begin studying the Year 10 curriculum, giving them a valuable head-start and greater confidence moving forward.

Teaching English

English

Our English program focuses on developing essential literacy skills, including:

  • Textual Study – Novels, Shakespeare, poetry, and media texts.

  • Essay Writing – Thesis development, structured paragraphs, and critical evaluation.

  • Problem-Solving – Higher-order reasoning for exam-style questions.

 

Science
Our Science program encourages curiosity and critical thinking by exploring key scientific concepts:
