Creative Essay Writing Course

Our Creative Essay Writing Course is designed to help students master the art of storytelling and persuasive writing, equipping them with essential skills for both school assignments and competitive exams. Through a structured and engaging approach, students will learn how to craft compelling narratives, develop strong arguments, and refine their writing style with confidence and creativity.

This course is facilitated by a NSW school qualified teacher.

Researching and Writing

Course Focus Areas:

 

1. Narrative Writing – Crafting Engaging Stories

Building strong story structures – Introduction, rising action, climax, and resolution.

Character development – Creating well-rounded and believable characters.

Setting and atmosphere – Using descriptive language to enhance storytelling.

Plot development – Crafting exciting and original storylines.

 

2. Persuasive & Expository Writing – Writing with Purpose

Structuring persuasive essays – Developing strong thesis statements and arguments.

Using rhetorical devices – Enhancing persuasive techniques with ethos, pathos, and logos.

Supporting ideas with evidence – Strengthening arguments with logical reasoning.

Writing clear and concise explanations – Effectively conveying ideas in expository essays.

 

3. Enhancing Writing Style & Technique

Sentence variety and fluency – Using diverse sentence structures for impact.

Grammar, punctuation, and clarity – Refining technical accuracy and coherence.

Figurative language and literary devices – Mastering metaphors, similes, and imagery.

Editing and revision skills – Improving work through self and peer feedback.

4. Time Management & Exam Writing Strategies

Planning and structuring responses under time constraints – Organizing ideas quickly and efficiently.

Practicing timed writing exercises – Building stamina and confidence for exams.

Understanding marking criteria – Learning what examiners look for in strong essays.

Self-checking and proofreading – Developing strategies to catch and correct errors.

End date: Tuesday, 16 December 2025

Lesson time: 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Fees (full-term tuition fee paid in advance)

Tuition fee: $45 per week

Material fee: $0 per term

Duration: 10-weeks

Total for Term 4: $450

Special discount* for WEMT students: $360 (for full-term payments received on or before 28 September 2025)

*The discount is available exclusively to students enrolled in the full-term WEMT course who complete both courses consecutively.

Students will receive workbooks at the beginning of the lesson, these will be used for class work as well as homework.
