Year 12 HSC Tutoring — HSC 2027
Our Term 4, 2026 program supports students commencing Year 12 and preparing for the 2027 HSC. Lessons strengthen subject knowledge, assessment skills and exam technique.
Subjects: Mathematics Advanced, Mathematics Extension 1 and Extension 2, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, English Standard and English Advanced.
Meet our teaching team
Our Maths team includes a seasoned Mathematics teacher who is now Deputy Principal at a high school, alongside another Mathematics teacher who achieved top marks in HSC Mathematics Extension 1 and Extension 2.
Our Chemistry and Physics teacher has over 20 years of teaching experience and two years of experience as an HSC marker.
Our English teacher is Head of English at a high school and brings a strong passion for English to every lesson.
Students receive clear explanations, challenging practice and focused feedback to build confidence and improve their responses.
Subjects
We offer a full range of Year 12 subjects, including Mathematics Advanced, Mathematics Extension, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, English Standard and English Advanced. Each course is designed to strengthen understanding of key syllabus content, build exam skills, and prepare students for Year 12 and the HSC.
Mathematics
Year 12 HSC
Excel in Advanced and Extension Mathematics with courses that target HSC exam requirements. Students refine their problem-solving skills across algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics, while learning proven strategies to maximise marks in both short-answer and extended-response questions. Lessons focus on accuracy, speed, and exam confidence.
Science
Year 12 HSC
Strengthen your understanding of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics through targeted HSC preparation. Students engage in in-depth study of key concepts, practical applications, and exam-style questions, building the analytical and critical thinking skills essential for top performance in the HSC. Our program bridges theory with practice, ensuring students can apply knowledge under exam conditions.
English
Year 12 HSC
Master the demands of HSC English, whether in Standard or Advanced. Students develop critical and creative responses to prescribed texts, essays, and unseen exam tasks. With a focus on analytical depth, clear structure, and effective exam techniques, students refine their ability to communicate sophisticated ideas and achieve results in their final assessments.

Mathematics Advanced
For students commencing Year 12 in Term 4, 2026 (HSC 2027), our course follows Mathematics Advanced 11–12 (2024).
Functions and modelling
Further graph transformations and mathematical models.
Calculus
Differential calculus, integral calculus and applications to rates of change, optimisation and area.
Sequences and series
Recognising patterns, evaluating sums and applying sequences in context.
Statistical analysis
Random variables and interpretation of probability models.
Financial mathematics
Applying mathematical methods to financial situations.
Working mathematically, clear reasoning and exam-style problem solving are integrated throughout. Topic order follows students’ school programs.
Mathematics Extension 1
This Year 12 course follows Mathematics Extension 1 11–12 (2024) for the HSC 2027 cohort, commencing in Term 4, 2026.
Key focus areas
• Proof by mathematical induction
• Introduction to vectors
• Inverse trigonometric functions
• Further calculus skills
• Further applications of calculus
• The binomial distribution and sampling distribution of the mean
Students build rigorous reasoning and mathematical communication through challenging problems and exam-style practice. Extension 1 is studied alongside Mathematics Advanced.
Mathematics Extension 2
Our Year 12 Mathematics Extension 2 course follows the 2024 syllabus for HSC 2027, commencing in Term 4, 2026.

Students develop precise mathematical arguments, connect ideas across topics and tackle demanding problems. Extension 2 is studied alongside Mathematics Advanced and Extension 1. Lessons combine concept development, worked examples and exam-style practice.
Science Tutoring
Our Year 12 Chemistry, Physics and Biology programs support students commencing their HSC course in Term 4, 2026 for the 2027 HSC. This cohort continues with the Stage 6 Science syllabuses (2017); the new Biology and Physics syllabuses first apply to the HSC in 2028.

Chemistry
The Year 12 HSC Chemistry course develops students’ knowledge, understanding and skills in areas such as equilibrium, acids and bases, organic compounds, and chemical analysis. Students explore the interconnectedness of chemical processes, conduct practical investigations, and apply their understanding to real-world contexts.

Physics
The Year 12 HSC Physics course builds on Year 11 concepts by examining advanced mechanics, electromagnetism, and quantum phenomena. Students learn to apply mathematical models, analyse experimental evidence, and explore the laws that govern both the physical world and the universe.

Biology
The Year 12 HSC Biology course deepens students’ understanding of genetics, evolution, infectious disease, and biotechnology. Students investigate contemporary applications of biology, analyse scientific evidence, and strengthen their ability to apply concepts to HSC exam-style questions.
